Our Super Bond 1-1/2 V-Grip, 212 V-Grip, and 312 V-Grip have a ribbed profile with embossments designed to interlock with the overlying concrete fill resulting in composite unit action. The versatility of Wheeling composite floor deck is illustrated by the fact that they serve the dual purpose of a permanent form and the positive bending moment concrete reinforcement
Composite steel decks are available in two basic finishes - galvanized and phosphatized/painted. Galvanized Super-Bond is manufactured from steel conforming to ASTM A653 (formerly A446.) Two galvanized coating weights are available - standard G-60 and G-90. Galvanized coatings conform to the requirements of ASTM A924 (formerly A525.) Phosphatized/painted coating is a cost efficient coating used in enclosed environments. The painted bottom side of the floor deck is a standard baked-on thermal setting primer. Phosphatized/painted Super-Bond is manufactured from steel conforming to ASTM A611.
Composite deck slabs can be utilized in diaphragm design with lateral loading. Super-Bond decks have been classified by Underwriters Laboratories and listed in the U.L. Fire Resistance Directory D-series floor assemblies. Spray on fireproofing can be applied to the underside of the deck to comply with deisgn assembly requirements. Super-Bond decks are also suitable for use with composite beam and girder designand provide an efficient structural floor system.
All of the deck we supply is manufactured locally in Gary, Indiana. Weights shown on all tables are for estimating purposes only. Super-Bond decks are available up to 40'-0" in length.
